Privacy Policy
Effective June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kiwi(“Kiwi,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Kiwi application and website at idekiwi.com (the “Service”). It also covers the optional surveys, offers, and ads you can choose to complete inside Kiwi to earn in-app rewards. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. Your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account, and any messages you send us.
Information collected automatically. Basic usage and device information needed to run and improve the Service (e.g., app version, coarse activity signals, and a per-user identifier). We do not read the contents of your private code repositories for advertising purposes.
Survey & offer activity. If you choose to participate in a survey, offer, or ad to earn rewards, you interact with a third-party provider. That provider — and its research/advertising partners — collect the answers and information you provide to them directly (see Section 4).
2. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To create and manage your account and your in-app reward balance.
- To communicate with you about the Service, including waitlist updates.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Optional surveys, offers & rewards
Participating in surveys, offers, or ads is always optional. When you do, you are interacting with third-party providers (for example, survey-monetization partners). Those providers collect the information you give them and may combine and share it with their own research and advertising partners, under their privacy policies — which we encourage you to read before participating.
Rewards earned through the Service are in-app credits, not cash, and are usable within Kiwi. Earning is a path, not a guarantee of any particular amount of income.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. Vendors that host and run the Service on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting and database providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Survey & offer partners. When you choose to participate, the relevant provider and its partners receive the information you provide to them, for market research and advertising.
- Legal & safety. Where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing with survey/ad partners when you opt in may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under certain U.S. state laws; you can opt out by not participating and by using the rights in Section 7.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar identifiers to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and — within optional surveys/offers — to enable and attribute participation. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time (see Section 7).
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@idekiwi.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
We operate from Canada and use providers that may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required.
